I heard I need a Certificate to go to Court. Can you issue Certificates?

Yes.  Our mediators are fully accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners, so they can issue certificates for you to take to Family Court. 

I want a legally binding agreement, can you help?

We can help you develop Parenting Plans or agreements for Consent Orders, which can be made legally binding in Family Court.

We are still together but disagree about parenting, is Family Compass for us?

Yes we can support parents who are still together.  Our aim is to support families to communicate clearly and develop strategies to support positive outcomes for all family members.

What if I am the only parent who is willing to participate, can Family Compass still help me?

Yes we can support individuals.  Family Compass works closely with individuals to understand the nature of any conflict or challenge, to clarify their intended goals and to identify practical options that will improve their situation.    

I have concerns about my child’s safety, can you help?

We can support parents in reviewing safety and identifying options to improve child safety.  We also run group seminars on Protective Behaviours for adults and children.

My circumstances are very unique, can Family Compass help me?

Family Compass provides a range of services from Counselling, Mediation, Parenting advice and Support Services.  We have significant experience helping people to resolve complex situations and can tailor our service to your needs. 

How long can my family expect to be involved with Family Compass?

It is hard to put a timeframe on the length of a particular service without knowing a family’s specific circumstances.  Family Compass works with families to help them reorient themselves to a new and positive direction.  We aim to help families in a timely manner and to provide short term support, as many families are able to resolve things independently once they are clear about their direction. 

Family Compass also offers one session appointments where people can Explore Options relevant to their needs including low cost and no cost options as appropriate.
